D. Madam Tussaud’s.
E. Trafalgar Square.
F. Westminster Abbey.

It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King’s Zoo. Now it is a museum. You can see a lot of interesting things in its halls. Its square walls are white and very tall. William the Conqueror built it in the eleventh century. There are always black ravens in it. People keep them and look after them very well as they believe that London will be rich while ravens live there.

In its middle stands a tall column. It is a monument to Admiral Nelson. Four bronze lions look at the square from the monument. There are two beautiful fountains in it. They are in front of the National Gallery which is one of the best picture galleries of the world.

It is on Parliament Square. It is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in London. It is more than nine hundred years old. There are so many monuments and statues there. Many English kings and queens are buried there. It is famous for the Poet’s Corner.

It was founded in 1753. It is in Great Russell Street. It consists of the National Library, Museum of History, Archaeology, Art and Ethnography. And the National Library has a large Reading Hall.

It is the name of the clock and the bell of the clock tower of the Houses of Parliament. You can hear its sound every hour in London. The clock and the bell got their names after Sir Benjamin Hall who was a very tall man.

6. Reading.

St. Paul’s Cathedral is one of the symbols of London. A great English architect Sir Christopher Wren built it. He designed many churches across England but St. Paul’s Cathedral is his masterpiece. It took Christopher Wren 35 years to build it. The work was completed in 1710. The cathedral is 175 m long and 111 m high. The interior of the cathedral is beautiful. There are a lot of mosaic decorations. St. Paul’s Cathedral is famous for the Whispering Gallery. It has unique acoustic. If you whisper anything on one side of the gallery, your words will be heard very clearly on the other side. To get to the gallery we will have to climb 263 steps. If you are not tired and ready to climb another 118 steps, you will be able to stand outside the Dome and enjoy a fantastic view over London.

St. Paul’s Cathedral is a place for many state ceremonies. Every year a special service is held on the occasion of the Monarch’s birthday.
